Lola Gouzes

Lola began her training in contemporary dance at the Conservatoire of Montpellier, where she laid the technical and artistic foundations that would deeply inform her trajectory as a performer. This early academic environment nurtured both her discipline and her curiosity, offering her a structured framework to develop her musicality, sense of detail, and awareness of the body in motion.

Eager to expand her practice, she continued her development at Epsedanse, integrating the adapted schedule program(“horaires aménagés”), which marked a crucial turning point in her evolution. This formative period allowed her to engage more profoundly with physical work, discover a wide variety of pedagogical approaches, and adapt to the daily rigor required by professional-level training. It was within this environment that she began to affirm her identity as a dancer—sensitive, committed, and open to exploration.

She later joined the Ballet Junior of Epsedanse, where she encountered her first immersive experiences with creative residencies and performance-based work. In this context, she refined her stage presence, interpretive nuance, and collaborative skills, taking part in choreographic processes that demanded both precision and spontaneity. This experience laid the groundwork for her entry into the T.O.N.E.S. Junior Company, an international and multidisciplinary platform that broadened her vision of contemporary dance. Within this vibrant collective, she continued to affirm her artistic voice, participating in original creations while embracing the richness of a multicultural and multilingual environment.

Throughout her training and early career, Lola had the opportunity to explore a wide spectrum of choreographic styles and aesthetics, which sparked a deep interest in the plurality of movement languages. She discovered the intense emotional landscape of Sharon Eyal’s world through repertory work taught by Juan Gil, and the refined theatricality of Sol León and Paul Lightfoot under the sensitive mentorship of Chloé Albaret. She immersed herself in the improvisational and structured freedom of Batsheva’s movement language with Guy Shomroni, and explored the precise vocabulary of Angelin Preljocaj with Guillaume Siard. Guided by Bruno Guilloré, she also touched the raw and visceral energy that defines the work of Hofesh Shechter, further enriching her palette as an interpreter.

These multifaceted experiences shaped Lola’s approach to dance as a living, ever-evolving practice—one that invites continuous transformation and redefinition. Her attention to detail, emotional availability, and adaptability make her a thoughtful and generous performer, deeply engaged in the physical and poetic dimensions of movement.

In 2025, Lola joined the Nossetssik Dance Company as a company dancer, where she continues to explore her artistic path within a space that values risk-taking, artistic research, and collaborative creation.
